Pebble Watch Apps
23/07/15 21:21
The Pebble Watch was a great companion to your iPhone or Android. Even though I no longer support these apps, I know they are still running on a few Pebble watches still in the wild. Check out these posts for details. Look inside here for the banner gallery. Read More…
My Bus
22/07/15 21:09
NextBus provides a useful arrival prediction service for many metropolitan areas in the US and Canada. I tried some of the phone apps and they’re just too slow and unwieldy. It just takes too long to unlock the phone, find the app, find the stop you are interested in and wait for a fancy formatted result to show up. And these apps all seem to turn on the GPS to drain the battery. My Bus aims to be more convenient and faster than any phone app and doesn’t use GPS at all. Another Pebble App cleverly locates the nearest bus stop for you with GPS. Do you really need that extra overhead? Read More…
Pebble Food Trucks
21/07/15 21:27
Using this app couldn’t be easier on your Pebble. Once you’ve selected the city you’re interested in from the configuration screen, a series of truck food names and their locations will show up on your watch. Scroll around with the down and up buttons until you find one that is interesting and then press select. The information that may have been cut off from the previous window is now fully visible with additional details such as the closing time, extended description of their food offerings and contact information.
The following 13 cities are currently supported: Boston Calgary, Columbus, Edmonton, Halifax, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, Ottawa, Surrey, Tallahassee, Toronto, Vancouver and Victoria. More cities are coming soon. The schedule and descriptions presented comes directly from the food truck operators.
The data provider is streetfoodapp.com. Food truck owners and food truck fans, do you want this service in your area? Please fill out this form: Street Food App: Add City

7 Watchfaces for Pebble
19/07/15 21:31
It’s very easy to choose a watch style to match your current mood. Switch to another whenever you feel like it. Unlike the other new watch faces on the app store that require internet access to get to a configuration screen on your phone, you can make all your choices entirely using the watch buttons. When you’re on a long flight with no wifi, this is the app you want to have around to show off your Pebble Watch.
